In Hastings for World Book Day, our younger children enjoyed exploring book themed sensory play and our older children created their own book marks. All the children shared many stories throughout the day and many bought their own stories in from home to share with their friends.
The nursery has also signed up to the National Literacy Trust, which provides resources to support the love of books from an early age. This in turn support children’s communication, language and literacy skills.
All four rooms had a Mother's Day tea, with a lovely turnout of mums and nans attending. Our younger children made shortbread for the occasion and our older children created keyrings of their own portraits.
